Another feather in the cap

With great joy and fulfillment of a decadal educational tradition, Dharumavantha School celebrated its 10th ‘Prize Day’ with all its grandeur on 2nd of September, 2012. Once again, Dharubaaruge, where the prize giving ceremony took place, was glimmered in the light of pride, aspiration and the winning smile of the Dharumavanthans.

Mr. Abdulla Didi, the principal briefed the performance of the school in various academic and co-curricular activities, and thanked everyone who contributed for the advancement of the school.

The presence of eminent national figures, like Ahmed Mohamed – the Minister Honorable of Economic Development, Dr. Asim Ahmed – the Honorable Minister of Education and Ms. Aminath Ali – the State Minister of Education enlivened the entire atmosphere of the function, and their erudite speeches served as food for thought for the community which gathered. Giyaasuddhin international School’s principal and former Senior Assistant principal Mr. Thoha Saleem, the Dean of Faculty of management and former Deputy Principal of Dharumavantha School Dr. Ali Shareef, Dhiraagu Managing Director and CEO Ismail Waheed, Manager of Splendid Asia Mr Ismail Naseer, President of Dhivehi language Academy and former LT of Dharumavantha School Mr. Ashraf Ali and managing director of Sony Sports Mr Ahmed Kaleem also added much flavour to the event.

The highlight of the event was conferring the award for the best all-round student of the school, which was lifted up by Mohamed Naaïf who had been the School captain since 2011, who displayed the characteristics of a model of a Student.

Dharumavantha School striving for excellence through the annals of history has brandished its unique culture in lively manifestations, and the Day was indeed another feather in the cap of the school.
